CHECK-IN PROCEDURES

Check-in can take place anytime after 3:00 PM on the day of your scheduled arrival. Keys can be obtained from the owners at 337 Clay Street, Nevada City, or through our gardener and caretaker (John MacQuardson – 530-478-0764) who lives in the guest house adjacent to the main house.. Call us toll free at 1-877-787-7677 if there is anything is out of order or that you feel needs attention.

Once inside the house, do a quick inventory check to make sure all the items on the inventory list in the unit and in good working condition. You are responsible for any lost, stolen or damage done while you are there. Send us an e-mail or call us right away if anything is missing or amiss.

Please note that the two in-law buildings adjacent to the vacation home are rented to permanent occupants. These people do not have responsibility for the property or the maintenance of the vacation rental.

CHECK- OUT PROCEDURES

Check-out time is 11:00 AM. No late check-outs are permitted if someone is checking in on your day of departure. A $250/hour charge will be applied for any late check-out that occurs. If the unit is available on your departure day you may schedule a late check-out of 12:00 PM by confirming with the Management in advance.

Upon vacating the premises, guests agree to leave the vacation home in the same clean condition in which it was found. Listed below are the check out procedures that guest must follow:

  • Remove all trash and recycling from home and place in appropriate bins.
  • Place all dirty dishes in the dishwasher and clear counter-tops.
  • All furniture must be put back in place.
  • Clean up any messes, spills that may have occurred.
  • Pickup-after yourself.CHECK FOR ANY PERSONAL ITEMS.
  • Strip all beds.Leave all lines in a pile.
  • Return keys back to office or owner promptly.

  • Each house has different trash pick-up days. For TuscanyGold, trash pick up is on Tuesdays. A large trash container is located either in the garage area or in a storage area for your use. Please roll the container out to the curbside on those days.

  • Courtesy cleaning days are available at your expense and upon request.

  • Upon departure shut all doors and sliding glass doors and windows, turn out the lights, fans and heating/air conditioning as you leave.

  • You are responsible for the hot tub and maintaining it in good condition. The following rules are to be followed:

    - Rinse off before entering the hot tub
    - Do not leave body oils or scented additives in hot tub.
    - Do not leave children unattended at any time.
    - Hot tub should not be used by anyone with a medical condition that might be adversely affected by the heat (e.g., pregnancy).
    - Observe all precautions regarding use of drugs and alcohol.
    - Do not use hot tub if over 105 degrees. Let it cool down.
    - Do not touch any controls in the control panel. Controls are located at the front of the tub.
    - When not in use, please put cover back on hot tub to conserve heat and prevent debris from entering tub.
    - Absolutely no pets are allowed in the hot tub at any time.
